PURO Art Walks: Warsaw II

During our second walk in Warsaw, we will look towards the past, discovering the works of classic artists while also confronting them with pieces by younger-generation creators.
We will immerse ourselves in a world of melancholy and ephemerality, and we will also reflect on the concept of space and the ways it is experienced. The walk will begin with a visit to the Institute of the Avantgarde, where we will enter the space shaped over the years by Edward Krasiński – one of the key artists of the Polish avant-garde of the 1960s and 70s. Next, we will visit the group exhibition “TSUKIMI” at the Ewa Opałka gallery, which explores themes of imperfection, asymmetry, and cyclicality, also in the context of the relationship between humans and nature. The walk will conclude at the Szydłowski gallery with the exhibition “Entr'acte,” focused on the issues of line and space – motifs that were also significant in Edward Krasiński’s work.
Date: July 31 (Thursday)
Time: 5:30 PM
Meeting point: PURO Warsaw Old Town, 4 Canaletta Street
Participation in the walk is free of charge, but the number of places is limited. Registration is required via email sent to: art@purohotel.pl
